Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill is set to make sweeping changes to his side for Thursday's Uefa Cup match with Slavia Prague in the Czech capital.

The match comes three days after Villa were beaten at Newcastle and O'Neill will give his fringe players a chance.

That could mean a chance for the likes of Brad Guzan, Zat Knight, Wayne Routledge and Moustapha Salifou.

Stiliyan Petrov and James Milner are injured, while Marlon Harewood is attending the birth of his child.
