Default Liverpool v Chelsea

OK it's the big one, its the re-match and its part one.

How do we all see this champions league league 1 going?

I am praying Chelsea do it, come on Chelsea you owe them a smashing after the last two times!

I reckon a draw here and then Chelsea will go for it at Stamford Bridge, although saying that they might sneak a goal here which will be a mssive factor.

What we absoultely need to do is get a good lead so we will not have to play Gerrard and Carragher in the 2nd leg. They are currently on yellow cards and should we make it to the final then playing without them would mean almost a certain loss.

So for this reason I think Rafa will have no choice but to play as attacking as possible whilst still being steriotypically defensive.

A

----------------------------Reina----------------------------
Finnan---------Skrtel------------Carragher------------Aurelio-
---------------Mascherano------Alonso----------------------
Kuyt--------------------Gerrard--------------------Benayoun
------------------------Torres------------------------------

Trying to get Benayoun in to the game as much as possible running at who ever plays right back trying to tire them out before bring Babel on about 60 minutes and running at full pace.

Thing is though, what you say is good but then Chelsea could do the same!

The could bring Kalou off (hope he doesn't start personally) and then bring on Anelka or SWP

It is going to be a real cracker of a game and this really could go eitherway, I feel the away goal(s) tonight could finish the game before the 2nd leg has even started

Well thing is I dont even know who plays right back for you, Ferriera, Belletti?

I dont think either of them are very fast are they?

If Arbeloa were to play right Back he wouldn't have as big a problem with catching up to Kalou as I think your right back would do with Babel.

That's just my thought though.

Also considering Chelsea aren't in the best of form lately and theres no real player you could say is in 'great' form like you could for Torres, Skrtel etc

Well i'll guess we'll see when the teamsheets come out in 8.45 hours

Ferriera is fairly fast but obviously not as fast as Babel, neither is Belletti but both aren't exactly slow.

The thing is, recently Essien has ben playing a right back which really annoys me and is a total waste, so if that happens tonight then maybe he could be worried about the pace, although it's a total joke not having him in midfield

Just seen the latest news, Essien is out and Drogba is doubtful

Ghanaian international Essien is suspended for the first leg but Frank Lampard returns to the squad after missing their last two league matches due to his mother being seriously ill. Midfielder Michael Ballack is battling to shake off a hamstring strain, as is striker Didier Drogba with a knee problem, so Chelsea manager Avram Grant has difficult decisions to make.
