Transfer Mania As some of you may know Ipswich have been linked with many players this season from Skacel to Maynard, the players we have been linked with have been of all abilities but it is safe to say that if we would of signed all of these players we could stay up in the Premiership. But I ask why is it the manager is it the owner or is it someone else in the club. Well it is not the owner as he is a multi millionaire he is one of the richest owners in the Championship. Is it the manager everyone seems to think that it is but is it, well in Ipswich the manager Magilton never has any control within transfers which takes us back to one place. THE OWNER!!! I had a long think about it and mabye it is the owner although said to be never deciding things for the club but is this true, is he deciding all of the transfers, transfers that have got to the medical stage with personal terms agreed and then it going silent what does this mean? Mabye the manager is making the transfers and getting to such an advanced stage and then ending is it the owner stepping in and ending it. At Ipswich I would want the manager deciding as the owner surely hasnt seen every player play. What about your club? |

Nice little journal you have there. I can see where you are coming from. I'll bet that is frustrating to all ipswich fans. Its not great when the owner takes complete control.
In Sunderland the owner/chairman allows the manager to have control. I mean Keano has identified targets and helped sort out offers needed, and then allowed Niall to make the offer and help along with the deal. Roy has then getten to meet the players personally before they get to the medical stage, to get to know them, and to share his vision of where he wants Sunderland to be, which I'm guessing is one of the top half premiership clubs at the moment. I know what Roy Keane wants to do at Sundewrland and that is to establish us as a premiership side, and I believe Roy Keane is the man to do it. Like everyone at Sunderland are saying, times are changing. Well theres the story at Sunderland, I believe at the moment, but again I'd like to say, nice blog

No one really knows but you just have that feeling that Magilton is not in control because when Evens wasn't there he just kept signing Irish players and now none so it does make you think.
