They got through the group stage becuase of the partnership between torres and villa, xavi was the driving force in the midfield, hence why he had player of the tournment and not fabregas

Fabregas never got the award because he came on as a subsitute for evrey match except final, when he came on he changed everything. Look at the Semi-Final win he created every goal.

i give that one he came on nd created the goals, but he was a sub for a reason he not as good as xavi

i admit fabregas is a world class player probably the best in the premiership and maybe europe but IMO xavi is better

Yes he is, Fabregas has the lot, all Gerrard can do is link up with Torres and score goals. Fabregas does that and so much more. Look at the International side. Gerrard, when he plays for England, he doesn't play good at all. Fabregas helped Spain win the Euro.

Gerrard doesn't play well for England just as all Englishman don't play well for England because they really dont give a **** about their country because they earn too much money.
