CHAT FOOTBALL FORUM

No matter who you are, you always tend prefer a team to another... for example, Everton or Liverpool? Madrid or Barca? United or Wednesday, Celtic or Rangers etc. but with no explanation for it.

What teams do other people on here prefer out of the above? Or others... And can you say why?

Also, what teams do you have soft spots for, and why?

I've always liked Real Betis, and have been lucky enough to go and see them play once. It was a fantastic experience and I hope to enjoy it again next year if possible!

Another team I have a soft spot for, is Aston Villa. But I have no idea why!

I also like all my local teams, apart from the un-mentionable blue half of the city of course

Well, I play my fair bit of Football Manager whenever I have some time to waste.
I often start unemployed, and let the clubs approach me. Half way through a season, Darlington offered me their job. I accepted, and took them to win the Play-Offs twice in a row, and the JPT twice in a row. Now this may seem like a strange reason, but I slightly lent towards them after this Same happened with East Stirling .

When I was younger, before my Grimsby years (so around the age of 4-5 at this time), my whole family tried to drown me with their favourite team. These were Chelsea, Man United and Newcastle United. But when I started to understand football a bit more, the team I lent towards was none other than Derby County. And to this date now, when I think back, I still have no idea why!

Celtc are the only team I support but there are a few teams I have a soft spot for

2. Barcelona
3. Sevilla
4. Athletic Bilbao
5. Werder Bremin
6. AC Milan
7. and my local team Donegal Celtic

Everton or Liverpool? Liverpool (by a fraction).

Madrid or Barca? Real Madrid.

United or Wednesday? Sheffield Wednesday.

Celtic or Rangers? Rangers.

I like Southampton mainly because of Matt Le Tissier, he was a cracking player who was very underrated, especially by the English managers. I also like Nottingham Forest as they were my dad's local team.

The team in which I have a soft spot for is Hartlepool because I think it is a wonderful name, and the fact that it's Stadium is named "Victoria Park" (no bias there... ).

Well obviously Sunderland are my team, local great atmosphere and family have supported them for years.

My second team are pompey, the reason being that having been to a couple of games I have found that no matter what happens, portsmouth fans always stand behind their team. Always cheering them on, even if they're losing.

Other teams I follow are Hartlepool, Darlington and Carlisle, these teams are local to me so I like to see them do well in their leagues, and hope to see these teams playin in the championship one day perhaps

I also have a soft spot for Toronto FC (45 minutes away from me, went to a match this year); and I strangely have soft spots for Pompey and Fulham.

Well I like any of the Welsh teams in the English League. Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham, Newport, Methyr Tydfil etc.

Mostly I prefer Swansea out of those, because that's where my father grew up. Well near there anyway.
