I personally think celtic/rangers would finish in the top half/challenge for UEFA cup in their 1st season and would improve given their tv exposure/money/already huge fanbase

How would EPL fans feel about the extra competition and how do you think we would do?

Also, I imigine lower league fans would be upset if we jumped them all to the top?

As far as english teams in the SPL

Top 4- win it
top half - 3rd (maybe 1 or 2 teams who would challenge)
bottom half - 3rd-6th

i think rangers and celtic would be just a top 10 team, but it wouldnt be bad idea, as i support a welsh team playin inthe english leagues and some people have a problem with that, which i think is supid

i think they shouldnt jump straight into the premiership, teams work hard to move up the leagues and for them to be put into the league they would have to increase the numbers, then there would be too many teams in the premiership

I think Celtic and Rangers should be allowed entry to the Premiership but I'm not sure other Scottish teams/fans would like it as it doesn't help them in many ways either. For instance when Rangers play a lower league team the ticket sales would be huge compred to another team, if they then moved on they would miss out on this.

I heard talk that if they did come into the English league then they would have to start from the bottom, this could cause them problems as im not sure that many of the top players would want to play in League 2 for example?

However, if they did get put into the Premiership I think a top 10 finish would be possible for them both (or slightly higher) but I think a Champions League spot would be out the question until they push on money wise and invest in better players (which wouldn't be a problem.

Supporter wise, both clubs wouldn't have any problems as they have shown time and time again how fantastic they are for both clubs week in and out.

Well since I started the thread it's only fair I give my opinion too.

Ok if Sunderland were in the SPL I recon a top 5 finish. If englsh teams were in the SPL I would agree, the the europe contenders would win the SPL or at least come second. Other premiership teams could get top five or top 6.

Ok the scots. I believe that if the scots from the SPL came into our premier league, then only the top teams would survive. Rangers and Celtic could probably compete for Europe. Others would struggle to stay in the premiership and if they did survive it would be by the skin of their teeth.

If the scottish premiership were merged with the english leagues, I do agree about starting from the bottom and working their way up. I also agree that the players wouldn't want that. This would cause alot of trouble with in english/ british football if this ever happened. I think the system in place now is good and should stay the way it is. If the englsih teams wanted to play the scottish teams more, they can organise some pre season friendlies with each other.
