Aldershot made a winning return to the Football League by beating Accrington Stanley 1-0.

Grimsby Town 0-0 Rochdale.

Was a great game today, fantastic support for the 1st match to see the Mariners hold off Rochdale with an good all-round display. Both teams had their chances, Rochdale with a more attacking approach, but some solid defending and quick-reactive saves by Phil Barnes denied them every time. Grimsby had a few chances, with Taylor's pace terrorising the defence and new-comer Chris Llewellyn impressing on the left wing, they almost nicked a few but Martin Butler just couldn't finish, having his shots well saved by keeper Russell. James Hunt picked up the Man of the Match reward after a very much improved display.

The Gloryhunter had his first taste of football action this season, and I'm sure he will not have been disapointed after a great game like that. Will be looking on his website once his new webisode is uploaded, as I believe he got a very good clip of me
