With the new tax bands looming, and looming for all cars, not just newer ones, here is a useful tax-band calculator so you can find out just how much less your car is going to be worth when you are paying £450 tax on it.

This has got to be one of the stupidest things this government has yet done, retroactive laws are undemocratic, retroactive taxes are undemocratic and punitive. I am actually a strong believer in using taxes to change consumer behaviour, but taxing something you bought sometimes years before the tax was imposed is just going to cause massive resentment, and damage the whole Green case.

Cars already cost way to much. Global warming is not affected by humans. 75% of CO2 emissions come from volcanoes... and my tax stays where it was!

They moan about all the cars on the road etc but why do all the top guys drive Range Rovers?

Also to help the traffic why not give motorbikes free road tax? surely that would make sense!

I like the way they complain about all the cars on the road yet the price of public transport is sky high, and public transport is very unreliable.

I say they should lower the price of public transport to make it cheaper to travel that way, then there wouldn't be as many cars on the road

Public transport is reliable Libbi. Passenegrs running to stops late and banging on doors, car drivers who don't abide by the highway code and give way to buses and then those that cut in and the tits that park in Bus stops. All that is what makes buses late. If a Bus is late then a car will be late. Traffic is traffic and until people stop getting arsey behind the wheel and let traffic flow then it will get worse.......... Trust me i'm a bus driver

As for Global warming its all a load of balls. First off how many acres of forest fires are stopped from burning each year that with out mans interferance would burn? Surely the amount of CO2 released would more than double the amount we produce. As for the 75% by Volcanoes The Ocean releases over 90% of the worlds CO2. Volcanos may release 75% of the remainder.
