Default Do Australians Know Anything about Football?

Opinions?
Some people on here seem to think that being Australian means you know nothing about Football. I may as well just say French people know nothing about Giraffes

I don't think you can really say that, people generalise and cover everyone with the same brush. Fans in England and other countries that actually go to the games may have more "experience" but I wouldn't say you don't know anything.

I think it something you pick up in time, like what teams to see and what not to see, where to go and where not to go etc etc

When you see a live game the class and quality is immense in the top leagues and you experience that much more in real life than you do on the television.

I remember when I never really rated Makelele but when I started watching him live the work and they way he plays is outstanding and now I know why his position is labelled "the makelele position" for all players.

Im not saying you don't know anything but you experience alot more if you do to go games.
