Cool The Music Thread

Come talk about music of all sorts: rock, techno, rap, hip-hop, jazz, etc.

What are some of your favourite bands? Albums? Songs?

Any musicians here? What instruments do you play? Are you in a band?

I'll let some other people post first and then I'll answer the above questions

Fav Bands - Killers, Evanescence, Scooter
Albums - Sams town, Fallen, The open Door, Origin
Songs - Mr Brightside, When you were young, Where will you go, My Immortal, Anywhere

When I was at school I played the clarinet and sang in the choir. I attempted A-level music but failed miserably cause my silly music teacher actually told me that my project could get a C when really it failed (still haven't forgiven her for it). I tried to teach myself how to play the cornet and failed miserably, but will attempt again sonetime in the near future (At least I can get a note out of it ). I own two recorders which I play along to final fantasy songs mainly. Thats the basis of my musical side

Evanescence is very talented (imo at least) and The Killers aren't too shabby either.

My friend plays clarinet, as well as guitar and piano; and he's a pretty good guitar player. I'm currently in a band with him as well.

I've got a bit of a hankering to learn piano myself, and I hope you go through with the cornet!

Well I have a very different taste in music to most you guys, im into funky, electro, dirty filthy kinky beats

Basically the kind of music you hear in Ibiza. I love it and when I started Dj'ing old skool UK Garage (which you may not have heard of) I then got into this as it's superb to mix.

I still love my old skool garage as mentioned above but don't listen to it as much anymore. Apart from that I listen to anything really that's on the radio from Akon to Rhianna

I would probably like what you listen to, some of Radiohead's stuff is kind of out there, and I do listen to some electronica and techno. I'm a drummer so I definitely dig music with a good beat.

If you're not going to be gigging then it is a good idea, easy to store as well.
