Georgina, I would show her how well you can do your job first and impress her; if you do that, she will warm to you. You need to break the barricade of fearin your mind and the only way to do that is by talking to her, and when you do talk to her, you'll be fine - believe me.

Honestly, don't be afraid of her, Georgie - she is a human being to, she makes mistakes just like everybody else.

Here is a quote for you: "Do the thing you are afraid to do, and the death of fear is certain".

Hope that helps.

Yep, exactly what you need to do. If she sees/hears that you're a good employee she'll have no problems talking to you.

Ah, so you get nervous around people then (especially people that you don't know well, I take it?) - that's normal, it really is. In my opinion, that is an anxiety, that, once you get used to it, will fade over time.

If you don't believe you can deal with your fear, you won't get anywhere; however, if you believe you do can deal with your fear, put on a smile and go and talk to the people with confidence, you will make the situation easier for yourself to handle and more enjoyable. Trust me.

Just have confidence in yourself and your abilities.

I understand. You know, I think that it's mostly habitual thinking when you think that you don't have confidence - you have to break out of that. Try to change your state of mind to a more positive one; imagine how much better you will feel if you find that positive, confident state of mind. Just trust yourself that you will be able to handle anything life throws your way and you should should be able to find it.
