Gav i dont know if you been tlking to anybody in Glasgow about Loovens, i was wi a few Celtic men in Paisley last ngt n a lot off tlk that Strachan wasnt that keen on him....... thats why he was saying in the press that he wil be just a squad player...... apparently Lawell wanted to do the deal for obvious reason but mgt have back fired a bit..........

To be fair on Caldwell hes won me over with his last 7 or 8 games a bit. He needs to keep playing like that but I wouldn't drop him at the min, I think McManus is the weak link in the defence. Its strange that this awful defence people go on about McManus/Caldwell conceded less than Weir/CC last year who are world beaters apparently.

But back to Loovens, I did hear something about that but I think its just the anti-Strachan crowd trying to stir things tbh. I remember they said in his 1st season he would never warm to McGeady becuase he choose to play for Ireland insted of Scotland and now he starts every week. I think Strachan is stubbern but not stupid, if loovens is good he will play I think.

yeah he looks ok to me tbh anytime ive seen him play......
seen him a few time mate....... but wasnt really taken much interest in him....

I don't know about him being a squad player, he said it was the fact he would be playing CL football, that made his mind up to join us.

Like Davey jones said, hes mad to leave such a competitive league to a league where only two teams compete for the title
