Couldn't find the right thread to post in, so I made this one.

I have an idea that might encourage people to donate and maybe even get outsiders to join the site if this is heard about.

How about we have little competitions every so often where there is a small prize of a couple of days as a VIP (Maybe then they might think its worth paying for), where the VIP's or just moderators vote for the best entry.

Little competitions like little limericks about your team or something like that, but for the voters, no biased voting is allowed. or maybe the invention of new football songs. May also help with the activity of the site.

Just an idea but tell me what you think of it

Sure it's a great idea, im hoping to come up with a programme for the new season so we can have little bets on matches etc. This might not happen but im trying hard for it!

Well I had a similar idea, for example the highest poster in the month of september gets a free 1 month VIP, then the top poster in october gets it for November and so on, this promotes posting and VIP .

Good idea FF9, I will have to see if I can do it like that otherwise I have to remember when they joined etc so i cancel them on time.

How about a football quiz, a general one obviously. Post 10-15 questions and allow give members a couple of weeks to post the answers. Then count up how many questions each member has got correct, and give them a couple of weeks VIP as a prize. In the event of a draw, we could post one more question on a first post first serve basis, where the first member involved in the tie break to post the right answer gets the prize.

Not only will this encourage people to join (for fun activities) but could also encourage VIP subscription if they have a taste of it and hopefully encourage people to post more too. When one of the competition quizzes is up, you could make an announcement on the front page or underneath the chatbox to let people know its up

Also we could make a sub forum for competitions we don't have to look through all the posts on the other forums, and lock them once the competition is over.

I'm thinking about posting a general one just for fun but slightly different.

Well, anything football related. Some easy some hard to give people a chance. I have got a great one which if we decide to go ahead, I'll PM to one of you. Obviously a mixture of different leagues, past and present if you like, then people can go away, do research if they like, (we have no control over that anyway), can be Euro or world cup aswell. Just anything football related
